Gluconolactone: A gentle exfoliant and humectant often classified as a polyhydroxy acid (PHA). Gluconolactone helps to remove dead skin cells, refine skin texture and increase skin hydration. Gluconolactone is known to be less irritating than traditional AHAs, making it suitable for sensitive or dry skin types.

Lipohydroxy Acid (LHA): LHA is a derivative of salicylic acid, known for its gentle exfoliating and clarifying properties. It helps to remove dead skin cells, improve skin texture and prevent clogged pores, making it effective for acne-prone and oily skin. Unlike regular salicylic acid, LHA is less irritating and penetrates the skin more slowly, providing a milder exfoliation.
